These Terms apply when you book or use our services. By hiring HomeHero Handyman Services LLC (“HomeHero,” “we,” “us”), you agree to them. Questions? Call (847) 996-0096 or visit illinoishomehero.com.

1. Services & Pricing

We provide handyman repairs, lite renovations, painting, assembly, smart-home installs, commercial fixes, and property management support in Lake County, IL. We do not perform work requiring licensed trades (e.g., new electrical wiring, major plumbing).

Quotes are free and in writing. Prices may adjust if on-site conditions differ from the description (e.g., hidden mold or rot). You approve any change before we continue. Payment is due when the job is complete.

2. Materials

We include basic supplies (screws, tape, caulk). You supply or approve larger items (paint, fixtures, flooring). We can purchase materials for you at cost + 20% markup, with your approval first.

3. Scheduling & Cancellations

We aim for same-week (often next-day) service. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead or a $50 fee may apply. We may reschedule due to weather or emergencies and will notify you as soon as possible.

4. The HomeHero Safe & Sound Promise™

If the work isn’t right, tell us by the next business day. We’ll fix it free of charge. This covers our labor for one year from completion (excludes normal wear, misuse, or customer-supplied materials).

5. Payment

We accept cards, Venmo, Zelle, check, or cash. Overdue payments add a 2% late fee after 7 days.

6. Liability & Insurance

We carry full general liability and workers’ comp insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We’re not responsible for damage from customer-supplied materials, misuse, or pre-existing conditions.

7. Legal Stuff

These Terms follow Illinois law, including the Home Repair and Remodeling Act. You’re responsible for any required permits. Disputes will be handled in Lake County courts if we can’t resolve them directly.

8. Home Access & Pets Clause

Customer agrees to provide access to the property and to secure all pets. HomeHero is not responsible for pets that escape the property during the performance of services.” This sounds small until a Gurnee homeowner’s dog gets out while you’re carrying a ladder in.

9. The “Pre-Existing Condition” Waiver 

HomeHero is not responsible for structural failures caused by poor manufacturing or ‘particle-board’ fatigue. If a piece is deemed too fragile to safely assemble or mount, the technician will notify the client before proceeding.
